Services this Week

On Sunday, 1 February, we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple, also known as Candlemass from the custom of blessing candles that day.. There are two masses on Sunday: the 8 am mass, which is a simple said mass taking around 40 minutes; and the 10 am solemn Sung Mass with a procession that will take about an hour. There is a sermon at both masses.

There is mass every day except Monday.

Parish Lunch

Our next parish lunch will be for Shrove Tuesday 17 February at the Goodwood Park Hotel.

Benediction and Reflection

Our next benediction and meditation will be next on 4 February at 5.30 pm with pizza and wine in the gardens to follow.

Gardening Day

We have a parish gardening group that meets every Tuesday after the 10 am mass.

The Lodge Service – 18 February

Once a month we hold an Anglican service in the local nursing home, The Lodge, at Wayville. The next service will be on Wednesday, 18 February, at 2 pm.

Benedictine Oblates – 14 February, 2026

Our next meeting of our Benedictine oblates will be 14 February, next year.

Monthly Requiem – 6 February

On the first free Friday of the month we have a special requiem mass at 8 am to commemorate all those past members of our parish now in God’s care who died in that month as well as those who have died recently. We always invite people to add names to the list of those for whom they are mourning or in particular need of prayers now they have died.The next monthly requiem is on Friday, 6 February at 8.00 am.

Parish Council

Our next meeting is Sunday, 8 February, after the 10 am mass.

Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham – 7 February

Every month, usually on the first Saturday, we have a special mass in devotion to Our Lady. Our parish has a special devotion ot Our Lady of Walsingham, the famous pilgrimage site in England, and has a wonderful statue of Mary in her role there. The Cell meets next on Saturday 7 February, 2026, at 9 am for mass, followed by a shared breakfast.

Our next meeting will be on Sunday 1 February after the 10 am mass.
