Services this Week
On Sunday, 15 March, we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Lent. This is the midway point of Lent, as is also known as Refreshment or Mothering Sunday, and we bless simple cake on this day in memory of Mother Church and our earthly mothers. There are two masses on Sunday: the 8 am mass, which is a simple said mass taking around 40 minutes; and the 10 am solemn Sung Mass with the Litany at the start. It will take about an hour. There is a sermon at both masses.
There is mass every day except Monday.
Stations of the Cross
The traditional stations of the cross are help every Friday during Lent at 8 am on Fridays, the next one being Friday 6 March.
Parish Lunch
Our next parish lunch will be for Ascension 14 May at the Goodwood Park Hotel.
Lenten Study
Our next Lent study start on Wednesday 11 March, at 6 pm after Benediction.
Benediction and Reflection
Our next benediction and meditation will be next on 1 April at 5.30 pm with pizza and wine in the gardens to follow.
Gardening Day
We have a parish gardening group that meets every Tuesday after the 10 am mass.
The Lodge Service – 18 March
Once a month we hold an Anglican service in the local nursing home, The Lodge, at Wayville. The next service will be on Wednesday, 18 March, at 2 pm.
Benedictine Oblates – 19 March, 2026
Our next meeting of our Benedictine oblates will be Thursday 19 March at St George’s, staring with mass at 12 noon.
Monthly Requiem – 17 April
On the first free Friday of the month we have a special requiem mass at 8 am to commemorate all those past members of our parish now in God’s care who died in that month as well as those who have died recently. We always invite people to add names to the list of those for whom they are mourning or in particular need of prayers now they have died.The next monthly requiem is on Friday, 17 April at 8.00 am.
Parish Council
Our next meeting is Sunday, 12 April, after the 10 am mass.
Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham – 2 May
Every month, usually on the first Saturday, we have a special mass in devotion to Our Lady. Our parish has a special devotion ot Our Lady of Walsingham, the famous pilgrimage site in England, and has a wonderful statue of Mary in her role there. The Cell meets next on Saturday 2 May, 2026, at 9 am for mass, followed by a shared breakfast.
Education Association – 8 May
Our next meeting will be on Sunday 8 May after the 10 am mass.
